CORNING, Calif. — October 31, 2026. The annual Fall Yard and Bake Sale organized by Maywood Women’s Club is returning to downtown Corning, with organizers seeking shoppers and usable donations.
The sale is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 6–7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day at the Maywood Women’s Clubhouse, 902 Marin Street at First Street, Corning. The Corning Chamber of Commerce listing says the event is planned rain or shine and that browsing is free.
What will be sold?
Organizers expect homemade baked goods and secondhand merchandise, including housewares, books, clothing, toys, some furniture and other items. The exact selection and prices depend on donations, so the listing is not an inventory guarantee.
How residents can donate
The club says donations may be dropped off at the clubhouse on Thursday, November 5, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Residents with large or unusual items should ask organizers first whether the donation can be accepted.
The group says proceeds will support local graduating-senior scholarships, services for domestic-violence survivors through Empower Tehama, veterans, projects benefiting people affected by breast cancer and handmade items for homebound neighbors. These are purposes described by the organizer rather than an independently audited distribution of sale proceeds.
For questions, the event lists yard-sale chair Linda Judd at (530) 200-3474.
